Sometimes you want something sweet, but the last thing you want is to have to throw it away in a couple of days because you can’t eat it all at once. Luckily, using Xtrema Pure Ceramic Cookware's ceramic coffee or tea mugs, you can easily make a delicious sweet treat in the microwave, just for one. We’ve compiled some of the best one-cup dessert recipes for you to try when your sweet tooth kicks in.

Chocolate mug cake. Simple and sweet, you’ll need:

  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mix dry ingredients together, then stir in the wet ingredients. Once mixed, microwave for about 2 minutes, using a toothpick to test the center.

Chocolate chip cookie.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • Melt the butter, add sugars and stir. Add egg and vanilla, whisk. Add the flour and baking powder, and stir. Add chocolate chips, then microwave for 1-2 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean.

Apple crisp for one.

  • 1 small apple, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Combine apples, sugar, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Add oats, flour, brown sugar, and rest of the cinnamon in a separate bowl. Add melted butter and stir to combine everything. Add oat mixture to the top of apples. Microwave 1-2 minutes.
